SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- A former Navy SEAL killed in an attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya was laid to rest Thursday in San Diego.
A graduate of Oregon City High School, Tyrone Woods was one of the four Americans killed in the attack, which also killed U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens.
Woods was providing security at the consulate when it came under fire September 11.
A service honored him at 10 a.m. Thursday, at North Island Chapel Coronado Naval Base. He was buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
Woods settled in San Diego after 20 years of military service.
