NEW YORK (AP) — NEW YORK (AP) — New York fire officials say 28 firefighters and two civilians sustained minor injuries in an overnight fire at a six-story building in the Bronx.
The six-alarm fire broke out shortly after midnight at the building near Yankee Stadium.
More than 200 firefighters battled the blaze during a hot and humid night, but were able to bring it under control less than four hours later.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is at the scene helping residents who might need emergency shelter or food.
