PORTLAND – Winterhawks fans will get to take to the ice to celebrate New Year’s Eve Monday night.
The league-leading Winterhawks will host the Seattle Thunderbirds at 8 p.m. in the Rose Garden.
Then, after the game, fans will be able to skate with Winterhawks players on the Rose Garden ice. They can bring their own skates or rent skates from the Winterhawks Skating Center for $10 on Monday and bring them to the game that night.
For fans who don’t skate, there will be bounce houses and inflatable games on the concourse before, during and after the game.
This will all leads into a live countdown to midnight on the arena’s big screen, when there will be a balloon drop with cash and prizes.
Tickets are still available online, at the Rose Quarter box office and the Winterhawks’ ticket office inside Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
