CANBY, Ore. – Shots were fired early Tuesday morning in a Canby neighborhood, but there were no reports of injuries.
Police were called at about 4:30 a.m. to the report of shots fired near Northeast 9th Place and North Pine Street, according to Clackamas County emergency dispatchers.
Police determined that ten rounds were fired from a semi-automatic weapon at 1120 NE 9th Place, hitting the house at least nine times, according to Canby Police Chief Bret Smith.
Smith said the residents had known gang affiliations, although police had not determined a motive for the shooting.
Neighbors said they saw a small, dark-colored car near the house at the time of the shooting.
The incident is under investigation and anyone with information should contact the Canby police.
