LONGVIEW, Wash. – A suspect accused of pulling a two-foot long samurai sword on a security guard at a Longview Fred Meyer was arrested Friday, police said.

On Friday, officers arrested 44-year-old David L. Renie at his home on 200 block of 19th Avenue for robbery and theft charges.

Investigators said the man pulled the long blade out of his coat on a security guard trying to stop him from stealing alcohol and other items Monday.

The guard was not injured.
