PORTLAND - A Portland man pleaded guilty Wednesday to harrassing the victims' families after the mass shooting at an Aurora, Colo. movie theater last July.

Kevin Purfield, 45, was accused of emailing, calling and using social media to bother the victims' relatives. He pleaded to charges of stalking and telephonic harassment. His sentencing was scheduled for Friday morning.

Investigators said the communications were persistent and included vile language, but were not threatening. Aurora police contacted Portland officers in February to help with the investigation.

The shooting left 12 people dead and 70 injured.
