ALOHA, Ore. – Deputies in Aloha arrested a wanted man who ran from them in a park Saturday afternoon, deputies said.

Just after 4 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to Rosa Park at Southwest 195th Avenue and Southwest Rosa Road after getting a tip there was a wanted man at the park, said Sgt. Vance Stimler with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The fugitive, 42-year-old Benjamin Kneeper, then took off, Stimler said.

Hillsboro police then showed up with a K-9 to help track Kneeper down.

He was quickly located and arrested on outstanding warrants in Washington State for parole violation. He was also charged with criminal trespass and interfering with police.

Kneeper is lodged in the Washington County Jail.
