PORTLAND -- The Moda Center and Rose Quarter will get a $16 million dollar makeover, including changes to suites and premium seating, and a new basketball court.

The suites will have brand-new floors, higher capacity and updated bar areas.

Of the 66 Moda Center suites, 20 will get the update. Almost 2,000 club-level seats will be refurbished.

A complete redesign of the Trail Blazers basketball court will be based on input from fans.

The arena will also add new monitors and Wi-Fi in the building will get an upgrade. A new LED display that can change depending on the event will circle the roof.

Outside the arena, improvements include eco-friendly landscaping and a refurbished fountain on the south end of the Rose Quarter.

This will be the biggest renovation since the Rose Quarter opened in 1995.
