PORTLAND -- A masked man with a gun robbed a Northeast Portland deli Tuesday night and police were looking for the suspect.
The victim told police the suspect entered Maddy's, in the 5500 block of East Burnside Street, displayed a handgun and demanded money, according to Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.
The suspect fled on foot just after 8 p.m. with an undisclosed amount of money, Simpson said. Police searched the area with the help of K-9 officers, but did not find the suspect.
He was described as white, in his mid-30s, 5-foot-8, with a thin build, wearing a hoodie, ski mask and blue jeans. Anyone with information was asked to call (503) 823-0405.
