GRESHAM – A man in Gresham was accidentally shot and killed early Saturday morning, police said.
Just after midnight, police responded to the 1600 block of southwest Orchard Avenue after reports that a man inside the home was accidentally shot.
Medics took 23-year-old Jeffrey Dennehy to the hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Authorities said Dennehy was accidentally shot by one of his close friends who had a gun that discharged unexpectedly.
Authorities were investigating the circumstances of the shooting and everyone who was present during the accident was cooperating with police.
