FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- After a series of tweets related to "Angry Birds" and "Star Wars" were sent out by the Forest Grove Fire Department Thursday morning, a spokesman said his 5-year-old was to blame.
The first questionable tweet was sent out at 9:21 a.m., and read "Do. Or do not. There is no fly," with the hashtag, #AngryBirdsStarWars.
The next one, sent out immediately afterward, read, "I want to learn the ways of the force and become a Jedi like my father. Chirp!"
The tweets were removed by 10:30, and replaced with an explanation:
Our apologies on the angry birds Star Wars tweets earlier, our PIO's 5 y/o son had his phone. In other news the universe is safe from pigs.— Forest Grove Fire(@ForestGroveFire) April 25, 2013
Spokesman David Nemeyer said his son was playing a game that was set up to automatically send Twitter updates.
