LONGVIEW, Wash. – Authorities identified the dead man Friday who was pulled out of Lake Sacajawea in Longview Thursday afternoon.
Loren Reed, 29, was last seen Feb. 22, and his family reported him missing on March 3. The coroner's Office determined Reed drowned.
Two fishermen first spotted Reed's body floating in the lake just after 3 p.m. near the 1800 block of Nichols Boulevard, said Sgt. John Reeves with Longview police.
His body was apparently in such bad shape it could not immediately be identified, coroner Tim Davidson said. The condition of the body was apparently consistent with him being in the lake since them time he was reported missing.
Police did not release details about the possible circumstances of his death.
