CAMAS, Wash. -- Two young men were arrested in connection with a string of port-a-potty fires in Camas this month, police said.
Since March 5, five portable toilets were set on fire and destroyed in city parks, said Sgt. Scot Boyles of the Camas police. A reward of up to $10,000 was offered for any tips that led to the arrest and conviction of the arsonists.

Two suspects, 19-year-old Ryan Ruge and 18-year-old Chasen Sincavage, were arrested after they tried to collect the reward money by blaming someone else, Boyles said.
"The suspects worked together to make up a story and then relayed that story to investigators," Boyles said. "These actions led to an additional charge of making false statements to a public servant."
Both were booked into the Clark County Jail.
