WOODBURN, Ore. -- Two men were arrested in connection with the death of a Woodburn man in the front yard of his home earlier this week.
Police took 21-year-old Daniel Nepomuceno and 21-year-old Mark Anthony Camarena into custody Friday night and charged with the murder of 28-year-old Michael McGovern, according to Corporal Shawn Hershberger of the Woodburn Police Department.
Police were called just after 4:30 Tuesday afternoon to the report of a shooting near Gatch Street and Hardcastle Avenue.
Officers at the scene found McGovern suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders said he was alive when he was taken to a nearby hospital, but the Marion County medical examiner confirmed he died shortly after 7 p.m.
Both men were also charged with parole violations. They will be arraigned in the Marion County Circuit Court Annex Monday afternoon.
