PORTLAND, Ore. -- A motorcyclist died after apparently losing control Thursday night on the U.S. 30 ramp from Interstate 405 northbound.

Emergency crews were dispatched about 11:40 p.m. to the location, where they found the person dead.

Investigators determined the motorcyclist lost control, struck the right side barriers and a light pole. The rider was thrown from the bike, which remained upright along the barrier before coming to a stop.
