Man injured in drive-by shooting in SE Portland

SE SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man was injured in a drive-by shooting in Southeast Portland on Sunday night at about 5:45 p.m.

Police say the shooter was driving a silver truck and drove west, away from the scene, on Southeast Powell Boulevard.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Southeast Powell Boulevard at 52nd Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound.

The man was taken by ambulance to a Portland hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be gang related. They are not clear what prompted the shooting.

Southeast Powell Boulevard is closed in the area of 52nd Avenue while officers process the crime scene.
