Women who help foster kids get relaxing holiday gift

Bridge Meadows

A local business owner reached out to pamper women who are dedicated to helping foster children.

“The women at Bridge Meadows don’t often take time for themselves because they’re so busy caring for others,” said Dr. Elizabeth VanderVeer.

She says she first learned of the community when a client invited her to a fundraiser.

The Bridge Meadows community in North Portland offers affordable housing and support to adults willing to become foster parents or elders in the program.

“This is a real gift,” said Estelle, as she enjoyed a medical facial and make up session at Dr. VanderVeer’s Tigard office.

The office also dedicated a portion of December profits to Bridge Meadows.

“We know there is an effort to expand the concept and bring it to Beaverton and we want to support that,” concluded Dr. VanderVeer.
