BATTLE GROUND, Wash.-- Two people were injured when a backhoe and a SUV collided west of Battle Ground Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash happened when a 1994 Chevy Blazer driven by 29 year-old Melissa Ramseyer failed to stop for a red light at 29th avenue, and collided with a backhoe driven by 75 year-old Kenneth Holtman that was in the intersection.

Both drivers were transported to Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
