Beaverton dad blew pot smoke into infant's mouth, police say

Father suspected of blowing pot smoke in infant's mouth

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A man was arrested by police late Sunday night on accusations he blew marijuana smoke into the mouth of his infant child.

Police were dispatched about 11 p.m. to reports of a domestic disturbance in the 3300 block of Southwest 125th Avenue, said Officer Mike Rowe.

The officers were able to calm down a couple in an argument over their children.

A friend of the family gave officers a video that showed the husband drawing smoke from a glass pipe and blowing into the mouth of the child. The friend told police it was marijuana smoke and the father had done this before.

Christopher Robert Kling, 22, of Beaverton, was arrested on accusations of endangering the welfare of a minor and application of a controlled substance to another person, Rowe said.
