VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Two bomb blasts several months apart led to the arrest of a Vancouver man on explosives and arson accusations, police said.
Police found "numerous pounds of explosive material, several Improved Explosive Devices, guns and drugs" in his residence, police said.
Police responded on July 29 and again on Oct. 2 to the St. James Apartment, 11022 NE 18th Street after improvised explosive devices were set off.
Work by an arson investigator led to a search warrant and warrant for probable cause to arrest Pedro Franco Gonzalez. He has been accused of first-degree arson, possessing prohibited explosive devices and possession with intent to deliver.
Tactical police and bomb units helped serve the search warrant. Additional warrants have yet to be served, police said.
No further details were released.
