Three in custody after SE Portland armed robbery

Arrests made after a suspected armed robbery

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police have three people in custody after a reported armed robbery early Wednesday morning in Southeast Portland. 

Two of the three suspects were found hiding inside a care facility.

An officer was flagged down about  2:20 a.m. near Southeast Stark Street and 160th Avenue by a person who said they had just been robbed by armed men. 

Police detained one person quickly based on descriptions the victim provided. Then they got information that at least one person was hiding in the nearby care facility.

A large group of Portland and Gresham officers searched unit by unit until the two men were taken into custody without injury or incident.

All three men were being called people of interest Wednesday morning.  Police were still trying to determine their connection the reported robbery.
