PORTLAND, Ore. -- While many people are worried about what all this weekend’s rain and wind will mean for landslides and flooding, people in the Portland area took Saturday as a good opportunity to get out and enjoy the rain before it got too blustery out.
At Bella Organic Farm on Sauvie Island, 2-year-old Finn had a tough choice before him. Which pumpkin should he choose?
It didn't take him long to decide. He along with a number of other families, in true Oregon fashion, suited up and braved the wet weather
“We're trying to find a pumpkin,” said 8-year-old Dane Noble.
Nevermind the downpour and wind, Dane and his family were determined to find the perfect pumpkin.
“Actually it's better than the snow to be honest with you. So I'll take it,” said Dane’s dad, David.
Closer to downtown Portland, dogs and their humans also had a little fun in the wet weather at Wallace Park.
Ally Will said she isn't excited about the rain because it means winter is around the corner. Even so, she was still enjoying herself.
“I feel like it's part of being an Oregonian,” said Will.
Parents watching their kids play soccer nearby know exactly what it means to be an Oregonian.
“You just have your gear, your rain coat, your rain boots, the liners, the down vest. You just come prepared,” said Maria Kelley.
