Motorcyclist killed in collision with deer

TROUTDALE, Ore. – A 54-year-old Gresham man died Thursday morning when he crashed his motorcycle into a deer in Troutdale.

Michael Roland was on his way to work. Police said he was a half-mile away when he crashed into the deer on Northeast Graham Road, north of the Troutdale Airport, around 5:30 a.m.

Roland died at the scene.

Police said the deer was severely wounded and officers euthanized it.
