GRESHAM, Ore. – Gresham firefighters put out a fire at a storage facility and travel trailer Tuesday morning behind Regency Gresham Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The facility is located on Southeast 282nd Avenue. The storage shed is not attached to the main facility, and no patients were injured.
Gresham firefighters believe the fire started from a travel trailer parked next to the storage shed, and nobody was inside the trailer when it caught fire.
The trailer and shed are a total loss, according to firefighters. Crews got the call just after 3 a.m. When they got on scene, the shed and trailer were fully engulfed in flames.
Crews also said the long driveway proved to be a challenge, as there was a distance between the fire hydrant and the storage facility. But once crews arrived, they quickly knocked down flames.
