Two suspicious fires in Gladstone under investigation

Two suspicious Gladstone fires in one night

GLADSTONE, Ore. -- It has been a busy Labor Day for Gladstone Fire. Fire Department PIO Kirk Stempel tells KGW News that it is investigating two suspicious fires.

Two vacant homes three blocks from each other caught fire. Stempel says the first call came in at 10:30 p.m. last night at 380 West Arlington St. Just as crews were wrapping up on that fire they were called out to a house fire at 110 East Clackamas Blvd. around midnight.

Fire investigators will be investigating both fires. Stempel says arson has not been ruled out as a cause for either fire. Both houses were vacant and the damage to the house on W Arlington over 100 dollars.
