Flagger hit by car in Beaverton

BEAVERTON, Ore. – A flagger was hit by a car in Beaverton Thursday night but is expected to survive.

The flagger, who is 52 years old, was putting out a construction zone cone when he was hit by a 22-year-old driver, according to Beaverton police.

The collision occurred at Southwest 114th Avenue and Canyon Road at around 8:30 p.m.

The driver was not impaired but didn’t see the flagger, police said. The driver is cooperating with investigators.
