Driver cited for DUII after wrong-way crash on Highway 26

Wrong-way driver crash closed 217/US 26 ramp

BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A 24-year-old woman was cited for driving under the influence after driving the wrong way on Highway 26 and crashing into another vehicle early Monday morning, Beaverton police said.

Erica Aguilar-Aguilar of Portland was also cited for reckless driving and two counts of reckless endangering.

The crash occurred at 3:40 a.m. and closed the northbound Highway 217 ramp to westbound U.S. 26.

The ramp was reopened shortly before 9 a.m.

The drivers of both cars went to the hospital. Police expected both to survive their injuries.

Two passengers in Aguilar's Honda Accord declined medical treatment at the scene.
