Multiple injuries after several motorcycles crash on Highway 20 in Harney County

HARNEY COUNTY, Ore.-- Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency crews responded to a report of a multiple vehicle crash on Highway 20, four miles east of Burns Wednesday. 

Troopers found that seven motorcycles were westbound, when they came across lumber debris just over the crest of a hill. The motorcycle riders, Larry Lahr, age 59 of Cedar Rapids Iowa,  William Hunt, age 58, and his passenger Rose Hunt of Earlville, Iowa, swerved to avoid the debris and collided. This caused both to go down on the roadway, resulting in minor injuries.

Another rider, 64 year-old David Marr of Floyd, Iowa, braked to avoid the debris, causing the motorcycle to overturn. Mr. Marr sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.

OSP was assisted by Harney County EMS, Burns Fire Department, Harney County Sheriff''s Office and Oregon Department of Transportation.
