PORTLAND, Ore. -- There were multiple reports of cars stuck in Portland due to standing water Friday night, causing traffic difficulties around the area.
The first reports came at around 7 p.m., after the Portland metro area was hit with a downpour during the 6 p.m. hour.
One car was stuck on eastbound Interstate 84 at Grand Avenue, blocking multiple lanes.
TriMet MAX trains were experiencing delays due to heavy rain and high water in Portland City Center. Multiple bus routes were delayed as well.
Portland Streetcar service was suspended for about an hour due to flooding. Service resumed at around 8:15 p.m.
