VANCOUVER -- Burglars stole a Vancouver woman’s life savings and family heirlooms, and she has offered a reward to help her get her belongings back.
The burglars broke into the Northeast Vancouver home between 3 and 8 p.m. last Thursday night, said victim Jordan Ruemler. She said they stole a 200-lb. safe packed with memories of her best friend, who was killed by a drunk driver.
“To not have the only things I have left from my best friend is just sickening,” she said.
Ruemler said the burglars seemed to know exactly where to go. They stole the safe and didn’t take anything else from the house.
A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest or to the return of her belongings.
