Spokane PD retracts statement regarding 'Deadliest Catch' star beating

We are not in the business of contradicting family members, but so far, police are not backing up that story. KREM 2's Ryan Simms has the story.(11/14/16)

SPOKANE, Wash. – At 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Spokane Police officials retracted their statement regarding the attack of "Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris.

The Spokane Police Department is not investigating the beating of Harris.

Harris was apparently hurt in a fight in Everett, Wash. His family took to social media to talk about how the reality star was apparently beaten by two people from Spokane.

However, both SPD and Everett Police said they do not have any suspects as of Monday night. Everett Police added they would need probably cause to arrest anyone, and that has not yet happened.

Everett Police even went as far as to say there are no apparent connections to Spokane.

Some media outlets have reported Harris was left in the ICU, however our sister station in Seattle, KING 5, reported he is in satisfactory condition in a normal room in the hospital.
