GRESHAM -- A rollover crash early Saturday evening on U.S. 26 has left a Portland man dead.
Oregon State Police said 6 p.m. crash was on U.S. 26 at 267th Avenue and a diabetic condition may have contributed to the crash.
Ronald B. Erickson, 65, was eastbound on 26 in a 2002 Buick LeSabre when he was in a minor crash at Hillyard Road. He then continued eastbound, but in the westbound lanes in a stretch of separated highway lanes.
As he approached 267th, Erickson struck a guardrail, running along it for about 200 feet before going over it and coming to rest on the westbound shoulder.
He was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
