PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Portland police say reports of a woman in her 20s was stabbed by a stranger without provocation Thursday night at SE 174th, south of Stark Street were likely false.
The wounds appear to be self-inflicted, said Sgt. Pete Simpson. The woman was being scheduled for a psychological examination Friday, he said.
