VANCOUVER -- A woman who stole a U.S. Postal Service mail vehicle in Portland Friday evening was stopped and arrested by the Washington State Patrol after she drove over the I-5 bridge.

The WSP used spike strips to stop Sara Siefert, 23, of Portland. The strips flattened three tires and the car came to a stop at the LaCenter exit. She was captured after a short foot chase.

Siefert was not a postal service employee.

She was being held in the Clark County jail on accusations of possession of stolen property (the postal vehicle); attempting to elude police; DUI; resisting arrest and possession of stolen property (two Nordstrom purse).
