PORTLAND, Ore. -- Francesca Lavezzo, the woman arrested early Thursday for repeatedly smashing her car into the Ron Tonkin Ferrari dealership in NE Portland, used to perform with a comic troupe in San Francisco, according to an acquaintance.

The 33-year-old Lavezzo, a former member of the 11th Hour Comedy Troupe, was suspected of being high on drugs when she drove into three garage doors made of metal just before 4 a.m. on March 4. She proceeded to smash through other, glass doors, including those to the showroom, Portland Police said.

A current member of the comic troupe said Lavezzo had not performed with them since 2007.

Officers said none of the expensive Ferraris were damaged but there was extensive damage around the building, with lots of broken glass and denting from the repeated smashing.

A person who witnessed the incident called 9-1-1 just before 4 a.m. Officers tracked down Lavezzo about a half-mile away, near the intersection of NE 122nd Ave. and Halsey St.

Lavezzo tried to elude police and smashed her car into a fence, according to police reports. She was uncooperative as police arrested her and was Tased. Afterward she was transferred to Portland Adventist Hospital for observation, then booked into Multnomah County Jail.

Lavezzo was charged with one count of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, one count of Felony Elude, and one count of Hit and Run.
