PORTLAND – Wednesday’s rain was helping to lessen the risk of wildfires – although so far, this month it’s 9 inches below average.
KGW Meteorologist Rod Hill said by this time of the year, Portland’s average is just over 16 inches. This year, it’s just over 7 inches.
The chance of rain was expected to continue through Wednesday evening with breaks, Hill said.
There was a chance of showers possible each day through the weekend.
