MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) -- A Washington state woman has been arrested and accused of trying to extort money from a Medford, Ore., man.

Police allege that 24-year-old Chan Thavy Keo, whose last known address was in Tacoma, had threatened to go to the man's wife with a story about having a sexual encounter with him.

Authorities say the 31-year-old man paid her $1,000 last month, but went to police when she asked for more money.

Medford police say the woman was arrested Saturday for investigation of theft by extortion and attempted theft by extortion.
