PORTLAND -- A 2-year-old boy was hospitalized after falling out of a third-story window in a Portland home, officials said.
The boy pushed the screen out of a window and fell to the dirt below at Bethany Meadows Apartments, located in the 15600 block of Northwest Athens Drive, according to Cassandra Ulven of Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
By the time crews arrived, the boy's parents had taken him back upstairs into their apartment. He was bleeding, but he was conscious and crying, Ulven said.
He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where his condition was not released.
