PORTLAND -- Voodoo Doughnuts broke the Guinness World Record Saturday for the biggest box of doughnuts during an event on Portland's Hawthorne Bridge, organizers said.
Nearly 4,000 donuts went into the box, which ended up weighing 666 pounds. That nearly tripled the previous world record, officials from PDX Bridge Festival's Brunch on the Bridge reported.
The giant, pink cardboard box measured nearly 200 cubic feet.
The paperwork must be filed with Guinness before the record is officially certified.
After the tally, more than 1,400 people in attendance got to share the doughnuts.
