Portland -- Dozens of Portland homeowners are getting some much needed help thanks to the generosity and hard work of volunteers.

Fifty homes, including one in Goose Hollow, got some improvements from a group called Rebuilding Together.

The home’s owner is battling multiple sclerosis and needed some help. Volunteers are making major improvements at no cost to him.

"I'm just blown away that people would do this. It's just so kind and thoughtful and a real blessing for me," said homeowner Antonio Valdez.

Corporate sponsors, including the Multnomah Athletic Club helped make it happen. Thousands of homes across the country will get a makeover this weekend as part of National Rebuild Day.
