CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- A Clackamas County man needs help tracking down the person who took a chainsaw to some trees on his property.

The property is located near Southeast Tyler Road and Southeast Walnut Drive in Happy Valley.

Last week, Bill Gander noticed that six of his trees had been vandalized. He said all of them had been cut at least three quarters across the trunk. One tree actually came crashing down on a barn that's on the property.

He said the poplar trees are anywhere between 50 and 80 years old and they stand at least 150 feet tall.

"I think the first thing you go through is anger… why would anyone do something like that,” Gander said.

He is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
