VANCOUVER -- Police were dispatched to a home Thursday near Fruit Valley Road and West Fourth Plain in Vancouver where someone was shot and killed.

The man who was shot and killed was identified as 45-year-old Thomas Miller.

Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said there were no suspects and the public was not in any danger connected to the late afternoon shooting.

Neighbors said they heard three to four shots and yelling in the 1900 block of West 27th Street. Around 5:30 p.m. Police arrived to find Miller dead.

Police said the resident of the home was involved in the shooting. The victim and the resident reportedly knew each other but police are not saying any more about their connection.

No arrest has been made.
