PORTLAND -- The Oregon Food Bank got a 30,000-pound donation from Tyson Foods Thursday.
This marked the 10th year that Tyson has been involved in hunger relief. The company has donated more than 75 million-pounds of food nationwide.
“If we can work together as communities, as corporations and businesses and as local ‘Joe Schmoe’ citizens like we are, we can end this,” said Kay Branche with Tyson Foods.
Last year, the Oregon Food Bank distributed more than 66-million pounds of food to local needy citizens.
