ODELL, Ore. -- A 70-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash south of Odell Thursday, police said.
Oregon State Police were called just before 1 p.m. to the report of a crash on Central Vale Drive, near the entrance to Highway 35, according to Lt. Gregg Hastings.
Witnesses told investigators a Ford Escort, driven by Catherine Anderson of Troutdale, was turning left when it was struck by a Volvo.
Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 53-year-old Sally Ann Sieh of Gresham, was taken to a nearby hospital. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, Hastings said.
Investigators were looking into the cause of the crash. All four people involved were using seat belts.
