Fairview train crash victim identified

FAIRVIEW, Ore. -- A man struck and killed by a train in Fairview Sunday night has been identified.

Jesse Pham, 18, was struck at about 8 p.m. by a Union Pacific train near Northeast Fairview Lake Way, police said.

Pham appeared to have been alone on the tracks at the time. Police said it was unclear why he was there.

The cause of death was determined as blunt force trauma. The death remains under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call the Fairview Police Department at (503) 674-6229.
