PORTLAND -- A pet store in North Portland was the scene of an emotional reunion when a mother and daughter got their cat back years after he vanished.
Jenny Miller and her daughter greeted "Timmy" with big hugs and kisses. About four years ago, John Picard spotted Timmy in Portland, thought he was a stray, and took him home to Montana, according to The Missoulian.
When the cat recently developed a medical condition, a veterinarian noticed Timmy had a microchip. The Humane Society of Western Montana even used Facebook to put out a call asking if anyone was heading from Montana to Portland.
Timmy’s real owners were notified, which led to Saturday's reunion.
A woman who happened to be coming to Portland for a wedding drove Timmy to town.
Jenny told KGW that Timmy was settling in well back at home.
