TIGARD, Ore. – A Tigard Police car crashed into a vehicle and then into a house Saturday night, police said.
Just after 8 p.m. an officer on the way to the scene of an emergency call on SW 135th Avenue, in Tigard, was involved in a crash at the intersection of SW Walnut Street and SW Watkins Street, according to Capt. Robert Rogers.
After crashing into a car, the patrol car left the roadway and struck a nearby house, Rogers said. Police did not say what caused the initial crash. The patrol car’s emergency equipment was activated at the time.
A man who lives in the home was in a different room at the time and was not injured.
The officer and the two occupants of the other car suffered injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.
All three were taken to Providence St. Vincent Hospital.
Investigators were working to determine the cause of the crash. Nobody was cited for the crash.
