Can you IMAGINE? The Fab Four together again live on stage!

It's true in Rain: A tribute to the Beatles, which opens in Portland on December 29th.

Time travel back to those fabulous musical days. The Liverpool group is discovered and grows so popular that England can't contain them. Off they go to New York, where girls were swooning. I remember the day in 1964. I was working at CBS when their limo pulled up. The secretaries dashed to the mezzanine and looked down to see them.

Follow the group from Ed Sullivan to Abbey Road! You won't believe your eyes! They look like them and they sound just like them! "The next best thing to seeing The Beatles," raves the Denver Post. All the music and vocals are performed totally live!

RAIN covers the Fab Four from the earliest beginnings through the psychedelic late '60s and their long-haired hippie, hard-rocking rooftop days.

RAIN Is a multi-media, multi-dimensional experience ... a fusion of historical footage and hilarious television commercials from the 1960s lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups. Sing along with your family and friends to such Beatlemaniac favorites as "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," "Come Together" and "Can't Buy Me Love."

All performances at the Keller Auditorium, 222 SW Clay St at 3rd Ave, downtown Portland. Performances with American Sign Language description are usually on Thursdays. Please call 503-241-1802, M-F, 9a-5p, for more information and tickets. December 29, 2009 - January 3, 2010

I love The Beatles but this sounds lame! Why bother?

I have seen them before and they really do a great job. I missed it last night as well and don't have the money to see another show. Bummed.

This is not a tribute; it's just an excuse to make money off the success of others. Hope they have to pay the two left over Beatles the royalties for this. What a fake because the Beatles have not returned; they are history!

ATTENTION: #PDX If you missed 12/29 performance of RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles, please read this from publicist @ Broadway in Portland. UNUSED tkts. are good for exchange for another performance. Here’s the message: The company of RAIN has been very generous and offered ticket holders to come to another performance pending availability (and there is lots). There is a no refund policy and 1000 did make it to the show last night. If ticket holders 12/29 call the box office By Phone: 503-241-1802, or toll-free at 1-866-739-6737 (M-F, 9a-5p), they can reserve tickets for an alternate performance. They will need to bring their original tickets to the Keller to pick up the new tickets. The show runs through Sunday evening 1/03/2010! Julia

Hello to all reading my preview publicity for "RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles" playing through January 3, 2010 in Portland at the Keller Auditorium. Q: Why do they bother to put on these shows? Because people around the country are supporting them! This is a touring company with a lot of good theatrical people behind it. If you don't want to see it and just sit home and criticize, please don't trash a performance you've never seen. Q: The Beatles haven't returned. They're history... Well, technically... you're right. However, I understand from reviews all over the country that this tour is exceptional. The four men who perform are quite accurate in their representation of the Beatles. By the way, there are many younger people who only know this group through videos and recordings. RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles gives them a chance to hear the music live through accomplished "doppelganger" performers.
