PORTLAND -- Two teenagers and a 20-year old were arrested in connection with a burglary spree in the St. John's area of Portland.

"They busted the window," said 11-year old Alex Nilsen.

Nilsen knew both of the teens accused of breaking into his unit.  They were kids he hung out with from time to time, who according to Nilson, lived just downstairs.  Nilson had his X-Box video system stolen, along with two iPods, a remote-control car and five car amplifiers taken.

"They were just bad people and I shouldn't have been hanging out with them I guess," said Nilsen.

Nilsen wasn't the only tenant victimized. One door down, Tammy Kruger had $130 cash stolen. Before anyone could report the theft she received a taunting phone call.

"When it happened, they called and said, 'sorry to hear you lost your money,'" said Kruger.

Police said they caught the two teens at the scene of one of the break-ins and then they were led to the teens' home. There, police said they found several stolen items, including a flat-screen television, jewelry, electronics and a shot gun.

"Guns are something we're always concerned about, especially in the hands of juveniles," said detective Mary Wheat of the Portland Police Bureau.

Officers also located an orange Camero nearby. When it was searched, police said they found more stolen belongings and they believe 20-year old Aaron Causey was allowing the teens to hide stolen items in his car.  Causey was charged with one count of burglary.

Detectives believe the teens may also have been stealing bicycles in the St. John's area.

Anyone who had a bicycle stolen in the area was urged to contact the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct.
