PORTLAND – A teen has been convicted in a grisly incident in which a 16-year-old boy was beaten and tortured inside an east Portland shed.

Shane Connell, 15, pleaded guilty on May 1 to kidnapping, robbery, assault and the unlawful possession of a firearm.

Connell was 14 years old when he and three other teens were arrested for the kidnapping and torture of a 16-year-old boy.

On Feb. 10 the teen victim was allegedly lured into an east Portland shed by Jenna Montgomery, 15. Once there, the victim was confronted by Connell and two other teens, according to police.

The boy was allegedly hit over the head with a crowbar, shot with a BB gun, had a swastika symbol carved in his forehead and was forced to eat cat feces, according to the DA's office.

The other three teen have been charged as adults. Montgomery, Blue Christian Kalmbach, 15, and Jess Taylor, 17, were charged with 20 counts including assault, kidnapping, robbery and assault.

Connell was committed to the custody of the Oregon Youth Authority which will oversee his custody until the age of 25.
